Sumy and Chernihiv regions shelled with mortars yet again

The enemy shells the frontier territories of the Sumy and Chernihiv regions.

This time the authorities have recorded mortar and machine gun fire.

Operational Command “North” reported about the incident.

In the Chernihiv Region, Mykhalchyna Sloboda village got shelled. 20 explosions likely caused by 120mm mortar shelling have occured. Heavy machine gun fire was also recorded.

In the Sumy Region, mortars were fired at Bachivsk village. Eight explosions were recorded. There are no personnel casualties or equipment loss.

The Head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration Dmytro Zhyvytskyi said that in the morning they recorded another shelling, this time of the Esman community.

“At almost 6 am we had 3 mortar “incomings”. After 7 am – 30 more explosions. The fire came from Russia’s own territory. As of now, there are no casualties or destruction,” he said.

Due to the June 7 shelling, 6 houses were damaged in the village of Seredyna-Buda.
