Satellite imagery has confirmed a strike on the Unecha linear production and dispatch station in Russia’s Bryansk region.
The damage was revealed in photos shared by the Telegram channel Dnipro Osint (Garbuz).
The facility is a key part of the Druzhba pipeline network, which transports Russian oil to several European countries.
“Near the booster pumping station, there are large burn marks – the facility is no longer operational,” the OSINT investigators reported.
According to local residents, the strike on the Russian facility in the Bryansk region was carried out by attack drones on August 12 around 10:00 p.m.
The fire at the station site was also confirmed by NASA satellites, which detected heat sources at 10:30 p.m., and again at 3:00 and 4:24 a.m.
According to Astra, this was not the first attack on the station in recent times. On August 6, a drone had already struck the facility, causing a fire.
This oil pumping station, owned by the Transnefteprodukt company, is one of the key nodes in the Druzhba pipeline, which stretches 5,500 kilometers.
It has the capacity to pump up to 60 million tons of crude oil per year.
Unecha is located in the settlement of Vysokoye in the Unechsky District, approximately 60 kilometers from the Ukrainian border.
This makes it vulnerable to most strike capabilities of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
On the night of August 14, Ukrainian attack drones struck a Lukoil oil refinery in the Russian city of Volgograd. A large-scale fire broke out at the facility following the strike.
