Russians Deploy Anti-Drone Vehicles to Assault Defense Positions Near Bahatyr

The Khortytsia operational-strategic group, together with adjacent units, fought off a Russian motorized assault on the settlement of Bahatyr.

The Khortytsia operational-strategic group published a video of the repelled assault.

For the assault, the Russians deployed 18 motorcycles and 10 vehicles equipped with anti-drone protection, which were moving across the field in an attempt to approach the positions of Ukrainian defenders.

The movement of Russian vehicles was detected in advance, which allowed the artillery to open fire on them with cluster munitions while they were still approaching the positions of the Ukrainian units.

Thanks to the professional work of the headquarters in organizing intelligence, the Russian invaders were detected in advance, after which fire was directed at the enemy convoy, the press service of the Khortytsia operational-strategic group reported.

Another part of the enemy managed to take cover in the nearest forest strip, where, thanks to close coordination with brigades and command, significant losses were inflicted on the enemy: out of the 18 motorcycles involved in the assault, 15 were destroyed.

The assault also involved 10 civilian vehicles equipped with anti-drone protection, which proved ineffective, as the defenders destroyed 9 out of 10 vehicles.

The invaders’ losses in manpower amounted to about 40 people,” the Vuhledar Telegram channel reported.

The assault on the positions took place near the settlement of Bahatyr in the Donetsk region, which the enemy is attempting to capture after occupying the settlement of Rozliv.

Due to significant losses in armored vehicles, the enemy is increasingly resorting to more accessible means of transportation in an attempt to seize the positions of Ukrainian defenders, which, in most cases, results in the loss of this same equipment.

In addition to vehicles with anti-drone protection, the Russians have also started installing it on motorcycles.
