Satellite images have captured the aftermath of drone strikes on an oil terminal in St. Petersburg, the Ruchyi oil depot, the OZON logistics hub, and two bridges.
Analysts from the Telegram channel “Absolutely Reliable Source” released the images.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces attacked these targets on October 18.
At the oil terminal in St. Petersburg, three storage tanks sustained damage and subsequently caught fire: one RVS-15000 and two RVS-10000. One of them was completely destroyed.
The terminal’s other damaged tanks showed damage to the outer cladding, but no signs of fire were detected.
The Ruchyi oil depot also sustained damage. There, one vertical steel tank (RVS-5000) was destroyed, and another tank with a capacity of 1,000 cubic meters (RVS-1000) was damaged.
Another facility affected was the OZON logistics hub, where a large-scale fire was reported.
According to available data, the fire affected an area of more than 10,000 square meters.
Damage was also detected on the Southern Fairway Bridge in St. Petersburg. Preliminary information indicates the road surface was damaged there.
On the Finland Railway Bridge, the deck of the lifting section was damaged. However, there is no information regarding the extent of the damage or its impact on rail traffic.
Thus, documented consequences of the attack included damage to and destruction of petroleum product storage tanks, a large-scale fire at a logistics facility, and damage to two bridges.
On October 18, Ukrainian strike drones also attacked the VKontakte data center and the St. Petersburg oil terminal.
