The German drone manufacturer Quantum Systems has introduced the digital platform MOSAIC UxS in Ukraine, designed to coordinate and manage unmanned systems of various types and manufacturers.
Oleksandr Berezhnyi, Managing Director of Quantum Systems in Ukraine, shared this information with a correspondent from Militarnyi.
The new MOSAIC UXS platform has the potential to be integrated with positioning and battle management systems, as well as situational awareness systems such as “Delta,” which are used in Ukraine, enabling the control of drones at various organizational and military levels.
According to him, the company is actively developing its software capabilities, as one of the biggest demands today is efficient management of diverse systems through a unified interface.
He also noted that Quantum Systems was then strengthening its collaboration with Ukrainian companies and expanding its team of specialists to develop both software and system integration.
“Simply put, everyone needs a kind of ‘Starcraft’ — a single control panel that allows simultaneous monitoring and management of all system elements. This is extremely important for us as well, since we have our own family of systems that require integration with each other,” said Oleksandr Berezhnyi.
This system has the potential to significantly enhance the drone operations of the Ukrainian Defense Forces and provide effective control across various operational levels.
In addition, the German company Quantum Systems directly offers its own drones, which can be seamlessly integrated into the system — primarily the Vector drones.
Currently, these drones are actively used by the Ukrainian Defense Forces in various operations. Moreover, the German manufacturer has localized the production of Vector drone fuselages at its facility in Ukraine.
Today, Ukraine has established production of drone components and assembly, supported by two operational facilities: an R&D CENTRE dedicated to drone development and a maintenance unit.
According to Quantum Systems’ press service, MOSAIC UXS was designed with the evolving needs of modern armed forces in mind, which increasingly depend on unmanned technologies. The platform communicates with drones through an open interface—a so-called driver—provided to drone manufacturers.
The drone operator inputs the type of drone and its capabilities, such as installed sensors, into the system. The drone then autonomously executes assigned tasks using its onboard subsystems—whether flying a preplanned route or conducting target reconnaissance.
Quantum Systems emphasizes that MOSAIC UXS can integrate any battlefield systems—including loitering munitions—and third-party software applications. The platform adheres to NATO standards, ensuring seamless compatibility with existing command and communication infrastructures.
