Poland’s PGZ Plans Joint Production of Unmanned Ground Vehicles with Ukrainian Company

Poland’s defense group Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa (PGZ) plans to implement a joint project with a Ukrainian company to produce unmanned ground vehicles (UGVs).

Rafał Harmoza, Director of PGZ’s International Cooperation Department, said this in a comment to Ukrinform.

According to him, the Polish side is closely monitoring the development of Ukrainian defense technologies, particularly in the fields of unmanned systems, missile technologies, and electronic warfare.

Following the Ukraine Recovery Conference in Gdańsk in late June, PGZ continued to conclude agreements with Ukrainian companies. The group is currently negotiating with a potential Ukrainian partner on a joint project in the field of unmanned ground vehicles.

In August, the parties signed a non-disclosure agreement (NDA), allowing them to exchange confidential information. The next step is expected to be the signing of a cooperation agreement.

“We signed such an agreement in August, and now we are moving toward concluding a cooperation agreement. This will allow us to implement a specific, thoroughly developed project,” the PGZ representative noted.

The project involves establishing joint production with Ukraine.

Harmoza added that the arrangements with Ukrainian defense companies are largely shaped by Ukraine’s needs, based on the principles of “Build with Ukraine” or “Build for Ukraine.”

He noted that Ukrainian defense companies are interested in establishing production facilities in Poland amid the intensification of Russian attacks on Ukrainian territory.

Production of Ukrainian UGV in Europe

Last week, it was announced that Ukrainian company Tencore and Finland’s Insta will establish a joint venture to manufacture TerMIT 2.0 unmanned ground vehicles.

The initial target is to produce 320 systems for Ukraine’s Defense Forces. The facility will operate under a distributed production model involving Finnish industrial partners.

Previously, Ukrainian company Ukrainian Unmanned Technologies (UUT) and Danish company Vidar Industries agreed to establish a joint venture in Denmark for the serial production of Ravlyk unmanned ground vehicles.
