Soldiers of the 37th Marine Brigade recently repelled an armored assault by Russian invaders in the Donetsk region.
The brigade’s press service published the video of the enemy’s destruction on social media.
The Russians attempted to break through Ukrainian positions using a group of infantry supported by armored vehicles.
According to the video, aerial reconnaissance detected the movement of a column of occupation troops across open terrain in the Kurakhove sector.
After detecting the enemy’s movement towards Ukrainian positions, the defenders started to destroy it.
The convoy of Russian invaders’ armored vehicles, which included a tank, armored fighting vehicles, and infantry fighting vehicles (IFVs) with anti-drone protection, was hit by artillery, and Ukrainian marines of the 37th Brigade used attack drones.
In addition, kamikaze drones and drone strikes destroyed enemy armored vehicles and the remnants of the surviving Russian infantry that were about to storm Ukrainian positions.
The Ukrainian General Staff reported that on December 4, the Ukrainian Defense Forces fought off 41 enemy attacks in the Kurakhove sector.
The Russian invasion forces focused their main offensive efforts in the areas of Sontsivka, Berestky, Zoria, Novodmytrivka, Kurakhove, Dale, Dachne, Romanivka, Yelizavetivka, and Uspenivka.
Militarnyi previously reported that soldiers of the 71st Jaeger Brigade intercepted and destroyed a Russian convoy in the Kurakhove sector.
To conduct the assault, the enemy engaged five units of armored vehicles, including tanks and armored personnel carriers with troops.
Combined artillery and FPV-drone strikes defeated the Russian equipment: artillery delivered the main blows, and FPV drones finished off the damaged equipment.
