Andrey Moiseyenko, a lieutenant colonel on the staff of the Russian Armed Forces’ 41st Guards Combined Arms Army, was killed in a missile strike on August 26 in the temporarily occupied city of Donetsk.
This was reported by the KIU OSINT project (Russian Officers Killed in Ukraine).
The killed occupier held the position of senior officer in the Operations Directorate of the General Staff of the 41st Guards Combined Arms Army.
According to the project, Moiseyenko’s wife confirmed his death as a result of a strike by the Ukrainian Air Force on Russian army command posts in the city of Donetsk.
The Ukrainian General Staff reported that the strikes targeted the main and backup command posts of the enemy operating in this sector.
Cruise missiles fired by Ukrainian aircraft struck a parking lot of an unfinished residential complex and the building of the former UkrDerzhNDIplastmas research institute.
The Russian army has repeatedly used similar facilities in the occupied territories for its own needs due to their large size and the presence of protected underground spaces.
The Ukrainian command has not disclosed the exact type of missiles used by the Air Force during this strike.
