The Ukrainian Air Force hits Russian positions in Tonenke with a French AASM-250 HAMMER bomb.

The invaders themselves recorded the incoming aircraft bomb in an occupied village in the Donetsk region.

In the video released, a trace of a solid rocket motor can be seen in the sky.

The bomb dramatically changes the trajectory and heads to the ruins of one of the houses in the occupied positions in the village.

A massive explosion then occurs, scattering debris from the ruins into a large area.

The invaders claimed that there were no casualties from this explosion, but it is not known how many of these bombs the Air Force fired at the invaders in the village and what consequences they had.

Presumably, the Ukrainian Air Force used a French AASM-250 Hammer guided bomb.

French and Ukrainian experts adapted these bombs to be used with MiG-29 multi-role fighter jets.

The AASM is a modernization kit for existing free-fall unguided bombs. The AASM-250 Hammer is based on the American Mk 82 bomb with a weight of 227 kg.

The kit consists of a front part with a guidance system and flaps and a rear one with a booster designed to increase the range.

The nose of the AASM kit can be equipped with three guidance systems: inertial with GPS, inertial with thermal imaging homing, or similar with a laser guidance system.

The first type of system, according to the developer, has an accuracy of 10 meters, while the other two have an accuracy of only 1 meter. Guided aerial bombs with thermal imaging and laser guidance systems are immune to enemy electronic warfare systems.
