On that day, Ukrainian forces hit the concentration of the 155th Guards Naval Infantry Brigade.
The Russian command held a lineup at the monument to the unknown soldier to award individual soldiers of the brigade.
The strike was carried out by two HIMARS missiles, killing 19 soldiers and injuring 12 others.
The dead included Lieutenant Colonel Roman Kozhukhov, the brigade’s deputy commander.
Major Alexander Abilov and Captain Nail Shakhmanov were also allegedly killed.
