On the night of June 14–15, strike drones attacked the Kavkaz port in the Temryuk district of Russia’s Krasnodar Krai, where an oil storage facility is located.

Krasnodar Krai Governor Veniamin Kondratyev announced this.

He said a fire broke out at the marine terminal. The blaze is also confirmed by NASA’s FIRMS satellite monitoring system, which detected the fire hotspot at 02:35 a.m.

By cargo turnover, the port of Kavkaz ranks fifth in Russia and second in the Black Sea–Azov basin after Novorossiysk.

The oil depot at the Kavkaz port plays an important role in supplying fuel to occupied territories: Crimea, as well as certain areas of the Kherson, Zaporizhzhia, and Donetsk regions.

Зафіксована сервісом FIRMS NASA пожежа на території порту Кавказ, 15.06.2026.

On June 13, the governor also reported an attack and a fire at one of the terminals, but at that time no details were provided.

Meanwhile, according to updated NASA FIRMS data, drones hit oil storage tanks at the port of Taman on that day.
