Drones Strike Mi-35 and Mi-8 Helicopters at Taganrog Airbase

Ukrainian drones struck Russian Mi-35 and Mi-8 helicopters at the Taganrog-Central military airbase.

Satellite images published by analysts from the Absolutely Reliable Telegram channel reportedly show the damage.

The airbase, located in Russia’s Rostov region, was targeted overnight on September 7.

“An Mi-8 helicopter was destroyed, while an Mi-35 helicopter was damaged,” the analysts said.

The airbase is located approximately 40 kilometers from the Ukrainian state border.

The Russian military actively uses this airbase. It is also home to the 325th Aircraft Repair Plant, which repairs transport aircraft and components for Il-76 aircraft.

In recent days, the Ukrainian Defense Forces have also destroyed Russian Ka-52 and Mi-28 attack helicopters and struck a multi-purpose helicopter from the Mi-8 family at Sochi International Airport.
