The commander of Russia’s 30th Motor Rifle Brigade ordered troops to shoot civilians attempting to leave Pokrovsk.

The Defense Intelligence of Ukraine reported on this and released the relevant intercepted communication.

The recording captures the Russian brigade commander giving the order to open fire on anyone leaving the city with large bags.

The Defense Intelligence of Ukraine emphasizes that the systematic executions and torture of prisoners of war, the killing of civilians, and extrajudicial reprisals against their own soldiers indicate that war crimes are a deliberate and targeted policy of Russia.

On August 6, it was reported that a Russian invader shot and killed a civilian in the Pokrovsk district.

The man was walking along the roadside, carrying a suitcase with personal belongings, when a Russian soldier, hiding in an ambush inside a destroyed building, opened targeted fire and killed him with a burst from an assault rifle.

In September, it was reported that Russian soldiers, disguised in civilian clothing and posing as local residents, attempted to infiltrate the settlement of Yampil in the Donetsk region.
