Coalition of the Willing Ready to Deploy Troops in Ukraine After Hostilities End

During a virtual meeting of the leaders of the Coalition of the Willing, they reaffirmed their readiness to deploy their own troops in Ukraine after the cessation of hostilities.

This was reported by the official website of the UK government.

The meeting was attended by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, during which the parties discussed their unwavering support for Ukraine and steps toward achieving peace.

Additionally, they prepared for consultations with U.S. President Donald Trump to discuss the issue of a ceasefire and the appropriate steps for the restoration of territory.

It should be noted that, as of today, the countries wishing to join the Coalition of the Willing have agreed to establish coalition headquarters.

This decision was made following a virtual meeting of the Coalition’s leaders with the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom and French President Emmanuel Macron, held at the Permanent Joint Headquarters in Northwood.

Currently, France and the United Kingdom are the main initiators of this coalition and aim to take a leading role in its deployment in Ukraine.

Functions of the Coalition

As part of its support for Ukraine, the Coalition of the Resolute plans to send logistics, armaments, and training experts to assist in the rebuilding and reform of Ukraine’s Ground Forces.

In addition, coalition air forces, together with the Ukrainian Air Force, will work to secure the country’s airspace.

The patrolling of the skies by coalition aircraft is expected to enhance the safety of the civilian population and create conditions for the restoration of normal international air traffic.

There are also plans to strengthen the Mine Countermeasures Black Sea Task Group, which includes Turkey, Romania, and Bulgaria.

It will be reinforced with specialized personnel, enabling faster demining of the Black Sea waters and ensuring safe and uninterrupted maritime access to and from Ukrainian ports.
