The Ukrainian Defense Forces have executed new strikes on the energy infrastructure of Russia’s border regions.

Local officials and Russian Telegram channels reported on this.

Alexander Khinshtein, the governor of the Kursk region, stated that an emergency power outage occurred in the city of Rylsk after a strike on an electrical substation. It is likely referring to the Rylsk substation of the same name.

More than 16,000 consumers in the Rylsk, Glushkovo, and Korenevo districts were left without power.

In addition, according to local residents quoted by the Exilenova+ project, the Frolovskaya substation in the Volgograd region was also attacked.

During the attack, the “Carpet” security protocol was activated at the local airport, after which all flight arrivals and departures were suspended.

Russian Telegram channels confirmed that a fire broke out at the substation, but there have been no reports of power outages so far.

As previously reported, external pilots of the 14th Regiment of the Unmanned Systems Forces conducted a series of strikes on enemy energy infrastructure in the temporarily occupied Luhansk region.

Meanwhile, it was reported that Ukrainian drones launched a massive strike on the energy infrastructure of Russia’s Kursk and Lipetsk regions.
