Belarus is demonstratively withdrawing part of its army from the border with Ukraine
38th Guards Air Assault Brigade

Belarusian observers continue to notice the movement of columns of military equipment of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus across the country.

On March 21, the Belarusian military began to move demonstratively under the flag of the republic. Previously, the columns were marked only with the tactical sign “red square”.

The movement of columns with flags was noticed in the Brest region. The columns include Cayman armored vehicles, armored personnel carriers, and MAZ trucks.

On the same day, the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Belarus announced that units of the 38th Guards Air Assault Brigade were returning to their permanent locations. After “successful completion of tasks to strengthen sections of the State Border.”

The Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Belarus has already published photos with the return of the paratroopers to Brest. The military department also quotes the comment of the Commander of the SOF of Belarus Vadym Denisenko:

“We don’t need someone else’s’, but we will not give the land.”

At the same time, observers from the Belarusian Gayun community continue to record the movement of Russian and Belarusian equipment in the areas bordering Ukraine.

Therefore, it is still unclear whether the Belarusian leadership is showing a refusal to participate in the invasion of Ukraine, or whether it is resorting to demonstrative measures to mislead.

As reported earlier, before the beginning of a new phase of the Russian-Ukrainian war the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation published video with alleged return of the Russian servicemen to the home base. However, this was only a small part of the forces gathered for the invasion.
