AstraVision has developed an adaptive training system for military personnel using Viron augmented reality glasses.
Company representatives shared the product’s features in an interview with Militarnyi.
AstraVision’s Technical Director Viktor Salamakha notes that this platform is a training mission builder that allows creating scenarios for fighters to practice.
The instructor creates a map with objects, adds AI enemies to the virtual battlefield, and simulates missions using the system’s software.
“The system incorporates a closed-loop AI that collects real-time data on a soldier’s movements, accuracy, and behavior… All of this is compiled into an After Action Review—a comprehensive analysis of the training session,” Viktor Salamakha explained.
Based on local training data, the instructor can adjust the program and track each fighter’s individual progress.
Artem, a military consultant at AstraVision, notes that the enemies in the training environment are adaptive, so no two scenarios are ever the same.
The system includes the following equipment:
Company representatives emphasize that incorporating Viron into the Basic General Military Training (BGMT) would improve the effectiveness of Ukrainian military training.
