Lithuania has concluded the eight-week Dronaton charity campaign, during which 1,301,494 euros were raised to strengthen the air defense of Ukraine and Lithuania.

This was reported by the charity organization Blue/Yellow, which organized the fundraiser.

80% of the funds raised will go to the Ukrainian military, and the remaining 20% to the Lithuanian Riflemen’s Union. The funds will be used to purchase interceptor drones, anti-drone systems, and to train operators.

Purchases began even before the fundraising campaign ended due to an intensification of Russian air attacks. In particular, the first Lithuanian-made Defender interceptor drones have already been purchased and successfully tested.

Four of these drones were transferred to the Lithuanian Riflemen’s Union, and another 12 were received by Ukrainian defenders.

The organizers emphasized that the campaign aims to simultaneously strengthen the airspace defense of both countries.

Earlier, Militarnyi reported that on October 20, Lithuania began deploying American AN/TPS-77 MRR mobile radar stations manufactured by Lockheed Martin. They are designed to detect and track aerial targets at ranges of up to 470 km and altitudes of up to 30 km.
