Ukrainian Drones Strike Freight Train Carrying Propane in Kursk Region, Evacuation Ordered

Ukrainian drones struck a freight train carrying propane tank cars in the Lgovsky district of Russia’s Kursk region. Local authorities ordered an evacuation.

According to the report, two UAVs struck the freight train. A gas explosion occurred at the impact site, and a fire broke out. Preliminary information indicates no deaths or injuries.

Due to the risk of explosion of additional tank cars, local authorities began evacuating residents and temporarily relocated 76 people from the nearest settlement.

Kursk region Governor Alexander Khinshtein confirmed the strike and evacuation of residents. He said a fuel tank car had caught fire.

In addition, a Ukrainian MiG-29MU1 fighter jet carried out an airstrike using AASM Hammer bombs on an enemy UAV control point at a former sugar factory in the village of Tyotkino in Russia’s Kursk region.

It is reported that troop and equipment movements were detected by reconnaissance units of the Ground Forces, after which the airstrike was adjusted with support from State Border Guard Service operators.
