The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and Finnish company ICEYE have signed a new agreement that significantly expands the Ukrainian military’s access to high-resolution satellite imagery.

The agreement provides for continuous data acquisition from the world’s largest SAR satellite constellation, enabling faster and more precise decision-making.

With expanded access to ICEYE data, Ukrainian forces will be able to assess changes on the ground more quickly.

ICEYE operates the world’s largest constellation of SAR satellites, capable of providing images with a resolution of up to 16 centimeters.

The use of radar pulses allows data collection regardless of time of day or weather conditions—critical in Ukraine, where traditional optical sensors are often limited by cloud cover or smoke.

Ukrainian forces can monitor Russian troop movements in near real time thanks to these satellites.

ICEYE founder Rafal Modrzewski shared that the company’s technology enables 20 to 24 images of a single target per day, ensuring continuous monitoring and rapid detection of battlefield changes.
