A new Russian drone was found in the Kyiv region

A downed Russian unmanned aerial vehicle of unknown type was found in the Kyiv region.

This happened after a nighttime attack by Russian drones in Ukraine on July 24.

A photo of an unidentified black drone was published by the Telegram channel Colonel Gsh (t.me/war_home).

This drone was shot down by air defense or suppressed by electronic warfare.

It fell in an open area and, judging by the photo, remained almost unharmed.

According to the Telegram channel, the Russian UAV has a radio-transparent fuselage. Inside it are two 3/4G antennas, a modem with a SIM card.

The drone has a tail number that begins with the Russian letter “Ы”, as in the Shahed-136 attack drones that Russia is using to attack Ukraine. The Telegram channel Colonel GSh suggested that this may indicate that the drone was manufactured at a Russian enterprise in Alabuga, where Iranian Shahed drones are produced.

According to the Defense Express, the unidentified drone has a wingspan of about 2.5 meters and a length of about 2 meters. These data suggest that its dimensions are smaller than the Shahed-136 kamikaze drone.

However, it is also constructed according to the same scheme: a flying wing with an internal combustion engine in the tail section with a pushing propeller.

It is unknown whether this Russian drone had a warhead.

The downing of the second unidentified Russian drone in recent times shows that the Russian invaders continue to test various long-range drones in their attacks on Ukraine.

Previously, the Ukrainian defenders had already neutralized an attack drone of an unknown type on the night of July 20. It also happened in the Kyiv region. Unlike the Shahed drones, the drone also has an internal combustion engine and a tail fin mounted on two beams.
