A third camp for Russian prisoners of war is opened in Ukraine.

The press service of the “I Want to Live” (Хочу жити) state project said that the first Russians were sent to the Center-3 camp.

This happened, in particular, due to the fact that Russia blocks the exchange of prisoners of war.

According to the project, the new camp was also opened because of the large number of Russian soldiers who surrendered.

In the Center-3 camp, the Russian army personnel will be able to work and engage in sports and leisure activities; the facility also has special places for cooking, resting, and communicating with psychologists.

There is a church on the territory of the camp that POWs can attend.

“This is probably not the last such camp for Russian prisoners of war to start operating this year,” the “I Want to Live” project predicts.

Ukraine also regularly opens its main prisoner-of-war camp to the Red Cross, the UN, and international journalists.

In late April, AP visited the camp in western Ukraine. The visit took place on the condition that its exact location not be disclosed.

In Russia, access to such camps where Ukrainians are held is strictly limited.

As previously reported, Russia has suspended the exchange of prisoners of war. According to Russian Ombudsman Tatyana Moskalkova, the exchange is suspended due to “far-fetched demands.” She refused to elaborate on Ukraine’s exact demands but emphasized that they were the ones being made.
