The Defence Intelligence of Ukraine has received EOS C03 VTOL drones from the Serhiy Prytula Charity Foundation.

The Kraken and Artan special forces units received one UAS EOS C03 VTOL system each, as well as one additional drone.

Each unmanned system consists of a ground control station and 3 UAVs.

The intelligence received a total of 7 drones and 2 ground control stations, which the Serhiy Prytula Charity Foundation purchased with donations from Ukrainians.

The cost of the transferred UAVs and auxiliary equipment is UAH 59,781,793.

The Defence Intelligence of Ukraine noted that the EOS reconnaissance drones manufactured in Estonia have proven themselves on the front line.

“They are capable of operating at a depth of up to 50 kilometers in a difficult electronic environment, do not generate much noise, and therefore do not attract undue attention of the enemy,” the agency said.

The intelligence officers noted that high-quality optics on the drones make it possible to collect detailed intelligence for planning ground operations, fixing enemy targets, and adjusting the fire of Ukrainian artillery.

EOS C VTOL

EOS C VTOL is a reconnaissance drone with a fixed wing developed by an Estonian company Threod Systems. It is also equipped with vertical take-off and landing capabilities. The UAVs are equipped with an electric motor that provides limited acoustic visibility even at low flight altitudes.

The unmanned aircraft’s maximum range is 120 kilometers, but the operational radius is limited to 50 kilometers due to the communication range. The drone’s cruising speed is 70 km/h. It is capable of reaching a maximum speed of 110 km/h. The drone’s length is almost 2 meters, with a wingspan of about five.

EOS C VTOL is equipped with a powerful optical sensor which allows it to perform reconnaissance within a 50-km radius. The drone camera can record enemy equipment in detail at a distance of up to 15 kilometers under good weather conditions.
