After active and successful combat work of the HIMARS rocket systems, the Russians ended up cut off from the supply of weapons and personnel from the territory of the occupied Crimea.

This was reported by the grouping of troops “Kakhovka”.

They believe that this is a great chance for Ukraine to liberate its territories from the Russian invaders.

According to the military, the situation in the temporarily occupied territory of the Kherson region is extremely difficult.

“The big and terrifying HIMARS destroyed almost all the big bridges (Antonivskyi railway, road and Nova Kakhovka bridges),” the statement reads.

Grouping of troops “Kakhovka” noted that only pedestrian crossings remained intact.

“The Russian army is thus cut off from arms and personnel supply from the territory of Crimea. For Ukraine, this is a brilliant chance to regain its territories,” the report notes.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine launched counterattack operations in many directions in the south, breaching the first line of defense of the Russian invaders.

Natalia Humeniuk, the spokeswoman of the Operational Command “South” commented on this to LIGA.net.

According to her, the counterattack of the Ukrainian forces has now been proceeding for a while, it particularly comprised exhausting the enemy, depriving him of the ability to make an advance, and halting at already occupied lines.

“We launched counterattack actions in many directions in our area of responsibility and breached the enemy’s first line of defense. Of course, we will not name these directions,” Humeniuk said.
