The satellite footage reported several fresh mass graves in the Mariupol district.
Militarnyi informs about this with reference to the photos available published by “Schemes” (Radio Svoboda).
Near the cemetery of the occupied village of Vynohradne, which is located 5-6 kilometers away from Mariupol, satellite images helped discover an appearance of a mass grave.
Mariupol authorities state they have received reports of another possible mass grave in the village – for those killed in regular shelling.
Satellite images indicate that the excavated trenches on the territory of Vynohradne cemetery of the occupied village first appeared in late March.
In the photos dated March 17, these trenches are absent, but in Maxar’s photo from March 29, trenches measuring approximately 38 by 4 meters are to be observed.
According to Planet’s satellite image dated April 20, the size of the mass grave has increased to about 45 by 25 meters.
Mariupol Mayor Vadym Boychenko believes that the bodies of hundreds of victims might be there, mostly from the left bank of Mariupol.
The satellite also recorded a mass grave in the Russian-occupied village of Mangush, which is less than 20 kilometers away from Mariupol.
According to satellite images, the excavated trench first appeared here in late March.
It was not seen in the March 23 photo. The next picture of this area from March 29 already shows a trench, measured at over 300 meters long and, possibly, the equipment used to make the trench.
A more recent satellite image from April 9 shows that the trench has already been partially covered with soil and widened.
