The Yemeni Houthis have declared war on Israel, launching ballistic missiles at the country.
In a statement, the group noted that this is the first such operation using such weapons against targets they have identified as ‘sensitive,’ reports Clash Report.
Group representatives emphasized that military operations will continue until the set goals are achieved. The attacks will not cease until what the Houthis call ‘aggression’ is completely over.
Earlier, the Israeli military confirmed the launch of a missile from Yemeni territory, calling it the first such incident since the escalation against Iran began.
As previously reported, a senior representative of the Yemeni Houthis stated that blocking the strategic Bab el-Mandeb Strait would be one of the main options for the Ansar Allah movement.
This would allow them to stop commercial and military vessels, including aircraft carriers, heading toward the Red Sea or the Arabian Sea.
Previously, Yemeni rebels had already imposed similar restrictions on vessels linked to Israel in the Red Sea due to hostilities in the Gaza Strip.
