Lieutenant General Vasyl Malyuk is resigning from the post of Head of the Security Service of Ukraine.
This was announced by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and the SSU on their social media pages.
Malyuk has been the head of the Security Service of Ukraine since February 7, 2023, and was awarded the title of Hero of Ukraine in May 2025.
He was responsible for the implementation of the operations to blow up the Crimean Bridge in 2022 and 2023, as well as Operation Spiderweb to destroy Russian strategic bombers and missile carriers.
Vasyl Malyuk will remain in the SSU, but will focus exclusively on combat work and operations.
