Poland Presents USV-MXV-1 Drone Boat With Air Defense Capability

Poland is developing a multifunctional USV-MXV-1 unmanned boat capable of performing air-defense tasks, conducting landing operations, or carrying explosives to strike targets.

Militarnyi’s correspondent reports on this from the Defence24 Days exhibition in Poland.

Telesystems and Revobeam are conducting the development. A single operator can operate the USV-MXV-1.

The design is based on an open architecture, allowing integration with various communication systems and sensors.

The boat has a maximum speed of 40 knots, a range of 180 nautical miles, and an endurance of up to five days.

Integration with Piorun air defense systems is planned, enabling the drone to engage UAVs, aircraft, and helicopters in salvo mode and semi-autonomous mode.

Additionally, interceptor drone launch modules are planned to counter aerial targets.

A remotely operated combat module with a 12.7 mm machine gun can be installed in the bow.

The modular mounting system allows rapid reconfiguration of payloads up to 1,000 kg for specific missions.

In an amphibious configuration, the boat can carry 6-8 personnel.

The boat is equipped with a CONTROP iSea-25HD camera designed for operation in harsh maritime conditions.

Revobeam representatives told Militarnyi that two versions are under development: one 4 meters long and another 8.5 meters.

The developers also mentioned that they are in talks with Ukrainian companies that produce key drone components.
