A Russian Mavic drone equipped with a net gun failed in an attempt to intercept the Ukrainian multi-purpose drone Sych.

The footage was published by the WarArchive project.

The video shows the Russian drone trying to match the Sych’s speed but misjudging its approach angle.

It then fires a net designed to entangle the propellers, which only grazes the Ukrainian drone’s tail. The Russian operator later attempts to ram the Sych, but that effort also fails.

Despite the impact and the added weight on its tail, the Ukrainian drone maintained control and continued its mission.

The footage shows two munitions attached to its wings, indicating the Sych was conducting a strike operation.

Little is known about the Sych drone or its manufacturer.

According to intelligence reports, the drone has both reconnaissance and strike capabilities and can carry up to 4 kilograms of munitions — 2 kilograms on each side of the wing.

It is equipped with additional protection against electronic warfare and can operate within a range of up to 150 kilometers in reconnaissance mode and up to 100 kilometers in strike mode.
