Strike drones reached the Luzhsky training ground in Russia’s Leningrad region.
Alexander Drozdenko, the governor of the Leningrad region, confirmed the attack.
He said that after the drone strike, infrastructure damage was recorded at the Luzhsky training ground, as well as in the areas of the ports of Ust-Luga and Vysotsk.
“At the moment, 62 enemy drones have been shot down over the Leningrad region. Air defense operations are still ongoing.” said Drozdenko.
The Luzhsky training ground is a large Russian defense ministry military facility located in a sparsely populated area near the town of Luga.
The training ground is used for live-fire exercises, testing artillery systems, and training military units.
On July 6, drones also attacked an oil and gas terminal in Kerch and the Simferopol electrical substation.
