The Ukrainian Air Force destroyed the second bridge over the Seim River in the village of Zvanoye.
The video of the destruction was published on the official page of Mykola Oleshchuk, Commander of the Ukrainian Air Force.
The destruction of this bridge was a strategically important task, as it could be used by the enemy to supply and evacuate their own forces from the Kursk region.
“The Air Force continues to deprive the enemy of logistical capabilities with precision air strikes, which significantly affects the course of combat operations,” Mykola Oleshchuk, Commander of the Ukrainian Air Force, noted.
The bridge is located at coordinates 51.38789424125065, 34.55390917846909 and is the only bridge that connects the village to the right bank.
Its destruction will negatively affect the capabilities of the Russian army, which is trying to pull up its own reserves from the North.
In addition, the troops on the left bank will not be able to evacuate quickly and are likely to be captured.
Two days ago, on August 16, 2024, the Ukrainian Air Force destroyed a road bridge near the village of Glushkovo to cut off the remnants of Russian units from logistical support.
Currently, there is only one bridge in the area that can carry motor vehicles, in the village of Karyzh, and one railway bridge.
It is currently unclear what type of aircraft was used to destroy the bridge, as well as the type of munition, but according to the characteristic explosion, it was probably a 227-kg Mk.82 bomb with a high-precision JDAM-ER, or AASM, kit.
As previously reported, the Ukrainian Air Force conducted an air strike on facilities in the village of Tyotkino, located 2.5 kilometers from the Russian-Ukrainian border.
Ukrainian aircraft hit command and observation posts and a hangar with military equipment of the Russian invaders.
