Ukraine has successfully tested another interceptor designed to counter Russian jet-powered strike drones.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky reported this following a report by Mykhailo Drapatyi, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

According to Zelensky, the interceptor successfully hit a Shahed drone during the test.

At the same time, the developers still need to refine certain aspects of the interceptor’s control system.

Zelensky noted that work on the system is ongoing and that more time is needed to fully finalize it.

On August 15, former Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov reported on combat testing of the first jet-powered interceptor drones developed to counter Russian jet-powered drones.

On August 21, the first Ukrainian interceptor drone designed to counter jet-powered drones, Alexa Spatium, entered service with Ukraine’s Defense Forces.

According to current Defense Minister Yevhen Khmara, Ukraine field-tested four interceptor drones designed to counter Geran jet-powered drones.

This year, Ukraine developed the SPYS interceptor to counter Russian jet-powered drones and equipped it with a Bullet booster.

Meanwhile, drones such as P1-SUN and ZIRKA have already demonstrated their ability to successfully intercept similar targets.
