Ukraine’s Defense Intelligence Conducts Successful Operation on Kinburn Spit

Special Forces of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine landed on the Kinburn Spit in the Mykolayiv region and destroyed dozens of invaders and equipment.

On August 9, 2024, a group of DIU operators from the Chimera, Aratta, Stugna, Paragon, Terror and Siberian Battalion units conducted a successful raid on the occupied territories.

The landing operation on the Kinburn Spit was conducted with the support of the Navy in cooperation with other components of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

During the operation on the spit, special forces attacked Russian fortifications at their positions “Kinburn Fortress,” “Marine Station” and “Monument to Suvorov.”

The agency reported that during the raid, six units of enemy armored vehicles were destroyed and about three dozen invaders were eliminated.

The video shows that the landing group consisted of at least four speedboats and two jet skis, which were accompanied by reconnaissance drones.

During the landing and the ground part of the operation, the fighters actively used FPV strike drones to knock the Russian military out of the buildings. In addition, it appears that other heavy weapons may have been used during the battle.

Before leaving, the DIU’s special forces planted a battle flag of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine on the monument to Suvorov.

Three days earlier, a DIU unit raided enemy positions 30 kilometers south on the Tendra Spit.
