The Ukrainian Defense Forces struck oil and gas facilities and power generation infrastructure in the temporarily occupied Crimea.

This is evidenced by numerous fires on the premises of these facilities, detected by the NASA FIRMS monitoring service.

The strike on the facilities took place on the night of June 19–20, 2026, resulting in fires breaking out on their premises.

The main target was the Tavriya Thermal Power Plant (also known as the Simferopol Combined Cycle Thermal Power Plant).

Due to the damage to the power plant, power outages occurred in several settlements at once. In particular, power outages were recorded in the Dobrivska Valley and along the Yalta Highway.

It is worth noting that the 470-MW Tavriya TPP is one of the two newest and most powerful combined-cycle power plants that Russia built in Crimea after the annexation (commissioned in 2019) to ensure the peninsula’s complete energy independence from mainland Ukraine.

The strike occurred at coordinates 44.94190449716159, 34.22066351679135, and the fire itself was detected by the service at 01:48.

One of the targets of the Ukrainian strike was the oil and gas storage facility at the terminal for transshipment and storage of liquefied gas and petroleum products belonging to the Crimean fuel company TES. The TES (Trade and Shipping Union) Group of Companies is one of the largest operators in the Crimean Peninsula’s retail fuel market, managing a network of over 100 gas stations.

The company owns two oil depots.

The affected oil depot is located at coordinates 44.78858053325795, 33.88560919347574, where the first fire was detected at 01:48 and the second at 03:30. The oil depot itself is located in the immediate vicinity of the city of Bakhchisaray.

Another strike targeted a gas distribution station (GDS) near the village of Zhuravlivka, which belongs to the joint-stock company Chernomorneftegaz.

The station reduces the pressure of gas coming from the Dzhankoy–Simferopol main gas pipeline for subsequent delivery to the gas distribution networks of the surrounding settlements in the Simferopol and Kurman districts.

The facility is located at coordinates 45.17985946751021, 33.97869394115952, and the fire was detected by NASA’s FIRMS service at 2:41 a.m.

Earlier, Militarnyi reported that on June 19, operators of the 413th Unmanned Systems Regiment (‘Raid’) struck targets at the Glebivskyi underground gas storage facility, located near the village of Dozorne on the Tarkhankut Peninsula in occupied Crimea.
