Ukraine and Germany are launching joint production of deep strike-type drones with a range of up to 1,500 km.

German Defence Minister Boris Pistorius announced this during a visit to Ukraine, according to a correspondent for Suspilne.

According to him, German and Ukrainian companies are already working on promising projects involving the joint development and production of drones with various ranges.

This includes both drones with a range of less than 100 kilometers and long-range systems capable of traveling up to 1,500 kilometers.

Pistorius emphasized that the development of deep strike drones is crucial for deterring Russian attacks on Ukraine’s military infrastructure.

According to him, if deployed on a large scale, such drones can effectively suppress and destroy enemy air defense systems.

The minister also noted that Germany is interested in expanding its defense partnership with Ukraine and leveraging Ukraine’s experience in modern warfare.

In particular, the German side is studying Ukrainian combat management systems and the combat experience of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

In addition, Berlin plans to join the Ukrainian defense innovation platform Brave1, which supports developers of new military technologies and allows for rapid testing of these technologies in real combat conditions.
