The United States has resumed intelligence sharing with Ukraine after temporarily suspending cooperation.
Volodymyr Zelensky announced this in an interview with NBC’s Meet the Press.
According to the President, the United States is once again providing Ukraine with intelligence after the exchange was blocked for “a certain period of time.”
In the interview with NBC News, Zelensky clarified that restrictions on U.S. intelligence transfers lasted several days. The President thanked the United States for resuming cooperation and said intelligence sharing was functioning again.
On October 9, during talks in Miami, representatives of the Donald Trump administration warned the Ukrainian side that intelligence sharing could be suspended if strikes on Russian oil refineries continued.
On October 13, however, U.S. President Donald Trump said Washington had not stopped sharing intelligence with Ukraine and continued providing assistance.
The issue of intelligence support came to the fore after Russia’s ballistic missile strike on Kyiv on October 12, when five missiles hit civilian infrastructure in the capital.
Zelensky said at the time that Ukraine had not received timely warning from foreign partners about the launch of Russian ballistic missiles.
Ukraine also continues to face restrictions on using Starshield, SpaceX’s military version of Starlink.
The terminals lose connectivity when moving above 160 km/h, complicating Ukrainian drone operations, including interceptors targeting Russian jet-powered drones.
Meanwhile, European countries provide a substantial share of Ukraine’s intelligence support.
On October 15, French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot said that two-thirds of the intelligence Ukraine receives from international partners comes from European countries.
