The first Turkish HUNTER interceptor drone from Skydagger has officially entered mass production after completing testing.

Baykar Chief Executive Haluk Bayraktar reported this on his X account.

According to him, the domestically produced interceptor drone should play an important role in Turkey’s air defense concept.

The drone can reach speeds of up to 320 km/h and is equipped with a camera with daytime and thermal imaging channels. Before launch, it receives an initial target designation from radar. Its operational range is stated at 20 kilometers.

In the terminal phase, the drone can be guided manually or by a guidance system that, according to the company, can detect and lock onto a target at distances up to 500 meters. To neutralize the target, the drone is equipped with a 500-gram warhead.

General Manager Mehmet Oztekin mentioned in an interview with SAHASohbetleri at the end of March 2026 that the company currently produces about 8,000 FPV drones of all types per month. In the second half of 2026, the company plans to reach 10,000 units per month.

The company also intends to expand production abroad by establishing automated production lines in other countries.

At the end of 2025, Turkey transferred FPV drones from Skydagger to Kosovo, prompting the Serbian president to accuse Turkey of violating international law and destabilizing the situation in the Western Balkans.
