The 3rd Assault Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has shown how the Ukrainian military liberated Andriivka from the Russian invaders.

The footage portrays battles in the village during the Ukrainian offensive operation.

Under constant Russian artillery shelling, the members of the assault unit are engaged in close battles with the invaders.

The video shows the advance of the combat groups of the Third Assault Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine deep into the village of Andriivka.

The video shows the close engagement of the Ukrainian military with the Russians on the streets of the settlement and the mop-up of enemy positions.

The brigade showed the combat operation of the 2nd Assault Battalion soldiers on the liberation of the Ukrainian village in the Bakhmut direction.

The military carried out a mopping-up operation on enemy positions, in the middle of destroyed buildings from which, due to constant artillery shelling, for the most part, only the basements and single walls behind which the Russians hid remained.

In the battles with the invaders, the soldiers of the 3rd Assault Brigade gained a foothold on the streets of Andriivka and prepared positions for the final stage of the operation to liberate the Ukrainian village.

About the liberation of the village of Andriivka in the Bakhmut direction in the Donetsk region, it became known on September 15.

“As a result of the brilliant operation, the Russian garrison of Andriivka was surrounded, cut off from the main forces and destroyed. As of now, the fighting continues, our units continue to gain a foothold in new positions,” the 3rd Assault Brigade said.

The Brigade reports that in two days the following military personnel was eliminated:

  • Chief of the enemy Brigade Reconnaissance;
  • three battalion commanders;
  • almost the entire infantry of the 72nd Brigade of the Russian army, along with officers and a significant amount of equipment.

Andriivka is located 10 kilometers from Bakhmut in the Donetsk region. The village is part of the Ivanove district, which includes the villages of Ivanivske, Andriivka, Klishchiivka, Berkhivka and the village of Khromove.

The liberation of settlements near Bakhmut allows the Ukrainian military to continue operations on encircling the city occupied by the Russians.
