In the Chernihiv region, the Ukrainian servicemen destroyed the russian 9S36 target acquisition radar (TAR) system.

The station is part of the russian “Buk-M2” anti-aircraft missile system.

Based on the preliminary data, the russian station was destroyed by the Ukrainian artillery.

The destroyed 9S36 radar was found by the servicemen near Novyi Bykiv village in the Chernihiv region.

The 9S36 radar with an antenna post that, according to the manufacturer, can rise up as high as 22 m, is designed to sustain the destruction of targets flying at low and extremely low altitudes, in foresty areas and rugged terrain.

We previously reported that in March, the Armed Forces of Ukraine had also used the Buk-3M system to neutralize the russian 9S510M mobile command post.
