Oleh Kulinich, former Head of the SSU Department in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, was sharing intelligence information against Ukraine with Russian special services.

This was reported by the State Bureau of Investigation.

They noted that together with the Security Service of Ukraine, they conducted a special operation. As a result, “a traitor of Ukraine – a current SSU officer who worked for the special services of the Russian Federation” was exposed and detained.

Law enforcement officers established facts about his cooperation with agents of the special services of the Russian Federation.

The media have already reported that this regards Oleh Kulinich. He was appointed Head of the Department of Security Service of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea back in October 2020. In March 2022, Zelenskyy fired him from this post.

“This information was confirmed through the investigations conducted by the SBI,” the reports claim.

They note that there are documented cases of the transfer of information to the enemy that constitutes a state secret. They also state the direct participation of the detainee in the work of a criminal organization engaged in intelligence and sabotage activities.

“The group’s actions harmed sovereignty, territorial integrity and inviolability, defense capability, state, economic, and information security of our state,” the SBI said.

  • part 1 of Art. 255 Establishing, managing, and participating in the criminal group or criminal organization;
  • part 1 of Art. 111 Treason;
  • part 5 of Art. 27, part 1 of Art. 114 Assistance in the transfer or collection for the purpose of transferring to a foreign state, a foreign organization, or their representatives information constituting a state secret.

Previously, the Security Service of Ukraine had neutralized an agent group that was collecting intelligence on the defense of the Black Sea regions. Three agents were detained during a special operation in the Mykolayiv region.
