Kyiv and Kyiv region had been liberated from Russian troops, but the military does not rule out a repeat attack on the capital.

Militarnyi informs about this.

Oleksandr Hruzevych, Brigadier General of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, noted that the Ukrainian servicemen are currently increasing the defense of Kyiv and the region.

“The situation remains tense. The enemy has withdrawn, they are now refocusing their target directions, and in the near future will be trying to take control of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions. After that, we should be after all expecting another attack on the capital,” Hruzevych said.

Thus, the defenders of Kyiv and the region are now equipping fortifications and training personnel.

Additionally, the threat of missile strikes remains.

At the moment, the liberated territories are being cleaned up and demined.

Servicemen and law enforcement officers are detaining enemy sabotage groups.

“In two days of joint actions, in Kyiv itself, some 16 sabotage and reconnaissance groups have been caught. We thought it got quiet, but the enemy is here. Only yesterday we did a sweep of one area, caught one group: uncovered the sensors through which missiles are aimed. That is, neglecting safety rules during the air strike alarm is not worth it,” Hruzevych said.

Oleksandr Hruzevych noted that the group, which was withdrawn to Belarus, is quite powerful. A third of the troops surrounding Kyiv were destroyed by Ukrainian defenders, a third of the enemy was transferred to other areas, and a third remained.

“From the point of view of strategy and tactics, it is not right to say that the enemy will not repeat its offensive,” Oleksandr Hruzevych said.

At the same time, the situation in Kyiv and the region is stable now.

Oleksandr Pavlyuk, Head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration, said that in the settlements of the Hostomel Village Council the extended curfew had been introduced. It will last until 6 am on April 14.
