The 3rd Assault Brigade repealed Russian attack near Avdiivka

Soldiers of the 3rd Assault Brigade destroy invaders during attempts to conduct assault operations near Avdiivka.

Official channel of the 3rd Assault Brigade in a Telegram reported.

Russians are attempting to storm the positions of Ukrainian defenders, landing close to the trenches.

To repel the attacks, the soldiers immediately call for fire support, after which the brigade artillery and drones successfully destroy the Russian infantry.

Due to the disorganized nature of the assault, Russians used their own armored vehicles to run over the wounded who were lying near the positions of Ukrainian defenders.

Due to the powerful shelling of the brigade artillery and heavy losses of invaders, their last attempt to storm the positions of the 3rd Assault Brigade failed: they were destroyed in close combat.

On the part of the 3rd Assault Brigade, the 1st Independent Motorized Infantry Battalion, Anti-tank Battalion, Anti-aircraft Artillery Battalion, Self-propelled Artillery Battalion “Komanda Postril” were involved in repulsing the assault.

Soldiers of the engineer combat support team of the 2nd Assault Battalion and drone operators of the 1st Assault Infantry Battalion, 2nd Mechanized Infantry Battalion, 1st Mechanized Infantry Battalion and the Unmanned Systems Battalion of the 3rd Assault Brigade were also involved.

In total, Ukrainian defenders killed about 35 invaders and captured 9 more.

As Militarnyi previously reported, the Ukrainian military inflicted losses on Russian invaders who were trying to storm the village of Lastochkyne.

Russian invaders attempted to seize the positions of the 225th Separate Assault Battalion with armored vehicles and infantry.

Russian armored vehicles were neutralized by various means, including mines placed on the invaders’ path.
