The Swedish-Finnish defense company Monava has secured investment from Gungnir Capital, Foundry Ventures, and Hede Capital.
Monava reported this to Militarnyi.
The funds raised will be used for the mass production of acoustic drone detection technology and the company’s expansion.
The Monava system combines acoustic sensors with artificial intelligence to detect, track, and classify drones in the air, on land, and in water.
The system is entirely passive, emits no signals for detection or jamming, and operates in environments where the effectiveness of radar stations is limited.
Currently, the company’s acoustic systems are deployed in Scandinavia and Ukraine, where they have undergone testing.
Following the investment round, Max Willman, managing partner of the largest investor, Gungnir Capital, joined Monava’s board of directors.
