Sudden check of the combat readiness of the troops completed in Belarus

The Ministry of Defense of Belarus has announced the completion of measures on checking the combat capability of the troops.

This is stated on the official pages of the department.

On December 13, a sudden check of the combat capability of the troops in Belarus was announced.

During those measures, the Belarusian military had to advance in the shortest possible time to the designated areas, implement their engineering equipment, and organize protection and defense.

Bridge crossings across the Neman and Berezina rivers were also provided.

At first, the engineering troops carried out their tasks to set up river crossings, and then the units of the mechanized brigades moved to the designated training grounds.

It is known that during the march, up to 20 units of T-72B tanks from the 11th Guards Mechanized Brigade of the Armed Forces of Belarus were transferred to the training ground near the city of Grodno.

Besides, the units of the 19th Guards Mechanized Brigade on BMP-2 were transferred to the Borisov training ground.

The units of the 38th Separate Guards Air Assault Brigade were redeployed to the permanent deployment point in Brest.

At the same time, during the check, the transfer of military equipment from the Russian Federation to Belarus continued.

In particular, a Russian А-50 AEW&C plane was flown to the Machulishchi airfield. It is now at the same location with MiG-31K aircraft of the Russian Air Force.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports that the situation in the Volyn and Polissia directions has not changed, and no signs of the formation of offensive groups have been detected.

All these events are taking place against the background of the visit of the military and political leadership of Russia to Belarus.

As previously reported, The Commander of the Joint Forces the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Lieutenant-General General Serhiy Nayev said that the President of the Russian Federation, Putin, would encourage Lukashenko to increase the level of involvement of Belarus in the Russia’s war against Ukraine.

“In our opinion, during this meeting, the issues of further aggression against Ukraine and the wider involvement of the armed forces of the Republic of Belarus in the operation against Ukraine will be worked out, in particular, in our opinion, on land,” Serhiy Nayev said.

Initially, a meeting with the participation of all ministers is planned, then a one-on-one meeting between Lukashenko and Putin, and then a press conference.
