The 1st Center of Unmanned Systems Forces (USF) carried out a strike on the Belgorod Dam on the Siverskyi Donets River, located on Russian territory.
The strike was confirmed by USF Commander Robert “Madyar” Brovdi.
The facility sustained critical damage and began to leak water. Additionally, local authorities opened the floodgates to lower the water level and prevent the complete destruction of the dam.
According to the 16th Army Corps, the enemy’s increased activity on the Southern Slobozhanskyi axis became possible due to natural factors: after a prolonged period of heat and lack of rainfall, the Siverskyi Donets and Vovcharivers became shallow.
This significantly simplified the enemy’s logistics, allowing them to use the foliage for concealment and build up reserves.
The situation changed after the strike on the Belgorod Dam. According to Russian media, the water level in the reservoir dropped by one meter in just one day.
The water surged into the Siverskyi Donets River, causing flooding of bunkers and complications for the forward positions of Russian troops.
