Soldiers of the 24th Brigade have successfully “landed” a Russian Orlan-30 drone

The military demonstrated what a modified Russian UAV looks like.

The photo confirmation was published by the Press Service of the 24 Separate Mechanized Brigade named after King Danylo.

“The model itself is more modern, but the “fuel tank” brought us a lot of joy,” added the servicemen.

Recently, the defenders of King Danylo brigade managed to “land” the enemy “Orlan-10”. Thus, the specialists in electronic warfare have demonstrated their effective work.

The Russian invaders are using this type of drone for reconnaissance.

“Orlan-30” is a modified version of the drone. It has the same dimensions as the Orlan-10.

The working radius of the drone is 500 km, the ceiling is 5000 m, and the operating time is 8 hours.

There are two modifications of these Russian UAVs: “Orlan-30” and “Orlan-50”. The main difference from the original version is that they have the in-built engines.

Orlan-30 has one engine, and Orlan-50 has two. This allows for increasing the takeoff weight and payload. For a drone “landed” by the 24the military brigade, these values are 27 kg and 8 kg respectively.

The cruising speed of both modifications is 90 km/h, and the maximum speed of Orlan-30 is 150 km/h.

This UAV could also be carrying 3-4 cargo modules.

These could include digital aerial reconnaissance systems with a resolution of 80 megapixels, gyro-stabilized electro-optical infrared video systems, electronic surveillance and shroud devices, radiation background monitoring systems, etc.
