Russians had probably shot down their own Su-34 in Crimea

Russian media report about a Su-34 fighter jet being downed in Crimea.

According to the Russians, the aircraft crashed for unknown reasons between the Krasnoperekopsk and Rozdilnensk districts in the north of the occupied peninsula.

The pilots (the Su-34 crew consists of two people) managed to eject.

According to eyewitnesses, the incident happened at approximately 6 am.

In a few hours, the author of the Russian Fighterbomber Telegram channel released a post in which he spoke about the dangers of their own air defense system. According to him, the Russian air defense poses an even greater danger to Russian pilots than the Armed Forces of Ukraine air defense systems.

“They have put you in charge of their territory, drop everything and maneuver on afterburners, shoot everything you have, as if for the last time in your life,” shared the channel administrator, who maintains contact with the pilots of the Russian Air Force and is a fairly reliable source of insider information on the state of affairs in this type of troops of the Russian Armed Forces.

As previously reported, Ukrainian soldiers discovered the remains of another Su-34 in the de-occupied territory. It was shot down near Izium a few days earlier.
