Russian media report a massive attack with the loitering munitions on a military training ground where the mobilized servicemen of the Russian Armed Forces were trained.

NIP Tysk reported this.

It is reported that this training ground is located 100 kilometers away from the front line.

The Russian side claims that their air defense successfully shot down seven UAVs. Another undisclosed number of drones reached the target but did not cause significant damage.

Reports were previously published about these drones being used to attack Russian military facilities.

On December 7, Russian media published a photo of kamikaze drones, which, according to them, were used by the Ukrainian Armed Forces to attack the Russian Aerospace Forces’ airfields.

Russians claim that the warhead of the drone with a weight of about two kilograms consists of explosives and ready-to-use striking elements from nails and metal bearings.

The explosive itself is made of plastic and has a silver color which is characteristic of mixtures with aluminum powder. The warhead presumably used one of the mixtures of TNT and aluminum powder often found in the mining industry. These factors suggest the artisanal production of these UAVs.

The warhead is detonated on approach to the target after receiving information from the HEX Pixhawk 2.1 CUBE ORANGE flight controller.

The UAV is designed with an electric motor that has one battery for the motor and an additional one for dropping the payload.

The design assumes a catapult launch. The UAV flies according to coordinates, with no radio channel or operator.

Additionally, the inscriptions on the aircraft’s fuselage are interesting as they contain the classic ruscist symbols “O” and “V,” along with propaganda slogans “NA KYIV” (“TO KYIV” – ed.). This was likely done to “mislead Russian visual control.”
