A massive Russian attack on Kyiv led to the complete destruction of the Ukrainian Red Cross’s humanitarian warehouse.

As a result of the enemy strike, 320,000 units of humanitarian cargo and equipment were lost, the organization reported.

The total value of the destroyed property exceeds UAH 79 million.

A leased warehouse in Kyiv housed emergency supplies intended for disaster response and the support of healthcarel facilities. The warehouses contained generators, heat pumps, medical stretchers, defibrillators, ultrasound machines, and patient monitors.

A significant portion of this critically important medical and technical equipment was delivered to Ukraine by partners. The shipment was made through the European Civil Protection Mechanism to strengthen the country’s preparedness for crisis situations.

During the shelling, the strategic reserve of humanitarian aid, intended for use in the first hours following shelling, fires, or evacuations, was destroyed by fire. The Russian strike destroyed blankets, bedding, hygiene and sleeping kits, as well as tarps and plastic sheeting used to cover damaged windows.

The destroyed facility served as one of the key logistics centers for the Red Cross Society of Ukraine. From this hub, specialists coordinated and ensured the implementation of major humanitarian projects to support the civilian population.
