Russian invaders withdrawn from Makarivka, Donetsk region

The Ukrainian military has advanced significantly in the Donetsk region in the direction of Velyka Novosilka.

Deputy Minister of Defense Hanna Maliar reported that the Defense Forces liberated the settlement of Makarivka.

The Russian invaders also report that Ukrainian forces are already on the outskirts of Urozhayne.

“In addition to occupying Blahodatne and Neskuchne, the enemy was able to gain a foothold on the northern outskirts of Makarivka and Urozhaine, which are nearing them. The battles are fought there,” the invaders said in a statement.

In general, according to official information, Ukrainian forces liberated three settlements: Blahodatne, Neskuchne, and Makarivka.

Presumably, there will be further counteroffensive actions of Ukrainian forces in the direction of the village of Staromayorske.

Velyka Novosilka is located in the Donetsk region, not far from the border with the Zaporizhzhya region.

The Russian occupants also call this area “Vremevsky Ledge” – after the name of the village, which is located near Velyka Novosilka.

A few days ago, the Armed Forces of Ukraine, while commenting on the situation in the Zaporizhzhya region, reported that “battles of local importance” were ongoing in the Velyka Novosilka area and that the Russian troops had lost positions there.

The day before, President Volodymyr Zelensky said that “counteroffensive and defensive actions” are being conducted at the frontlines.

The Ministry of Defense previously stated that it would not publicly announce the start of the counteroffensive.

It is also worth noting that Ukrainian forces are advancing in the Bakhmut direction.
